1988 Born January 30 in Colima, Colima, Mexico. 2005 October 02: Captain of the Mexican team that claim the FIFA U-17 World Championship Peru 2005 with an emphatic 3-0 win over reigning champions Brazil. Araujo, who became the first Mexican to lift a FIFA world championship trophy, was on the verge of tears as he said emotionally: "This is something very few people ever do. This one is for you, Mexico!" October 30: Made his Mexican League debut in the Guadalajara 1-2 defeat against Morelia. 2006 December 10: Member of the Guadalajara squad that won the Apertura championship in dramatic style by coming from behind to beat Toluca 2-1 away in the second leg of the final. 2007 July: Represented Mexico in the FIFA U-20 World Cup at Canada. He was part of the team that reached the quarter-finals but was defeated by Argentina 1-0. August 22: Made his Mexican national team debut in the 0-1 friendly defeat against Colombia in Denver, Colorado.
