Antonio Naelson Matiasar was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil but is now a naturalised Mexican citizen and plays his football under the name Zinha.

An archetypal playmaker, he is quick and athletic, has excellent vision and good touch. He played in the second division in Mexico before gaining recognition as a midfield dynamo with Toluca in 1999.

A regular for the national team, Zinha played in 12 of the qualification matches for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, scoring three goals. He also played in four of the matches at last summer’s FIFA Confederations Cup and represented Mexico at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
