Born in Argentina, Franco moved to Mexico in 2002 and recently became a naturalised Mexican.
Scored on his international debut against Guatemala in October 2005. His passing skills, excellent touch and pace could prove crucial to Mexico at the 2006 FIFA World Cup™.

‘El Guille’ played two matches in qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, scoring one goal.

He left his Mexican club Monterrey for Villarreal CF in Spain in the 2006 transfer window, scoring the winner against Alaves on his home debut for his new club.
